Can you tell us a little about yourself?
My name is Nora Lowell. I was raised by the man who literally started my family tree. I grew up knowing about the history of the Old Immortals and the role the Evolved would play in the future. I'm actually a genius but I don't like to make a big deal of it. I've lived my whole life waiting for the others like me to show up so I can actually do something with my life instead of just existing.
Part of being one of the Evolved is having special abilities. I have the ability to make people see what I want them to see, hear what I want them to hear and feel what I want them to feel. If I don't want you to see me, you won't. If I want you to see a purple dragon, you will. I might have a 'passive ability' (meaning I'm no good in a fight), but I am not about to let someone threaten my family or me.
I think I'm ready for this to all be over, but I'm actually afraid of what it will mean for the people I love. When I'm scared, I don't cower in a corner, I face my fear head on. This can sometimes get me into situations that I should probably avoid, but I'm not going down without a fight.
What is your role in the story?
I'm sort of the glue that holds our group together. I have a special connection with Hadley and Whitley as their mother helped raise me. I discover a connection with Thatcher that helps heal us both. And while Kerr infuriates me from time to time, I have found a special place in my heart for him. As the glue, I'm often the mediator and calming force.
What is your favorite hobby?
I love to paint! I have a secret mural of the history the Old Immortals have shared with me through the years.
What is the challenge you’re trying to overcome during the story?
I have to accept that just because I'm supposed to help usher in the New Era, it doesn't mean I will be responsible for ending the the lives of the Old Immortals. I have to accept that everything happens for a reason but I have the free-will to impact the things that happen in my life.
If you could make one wish, what would it be?
To save everyone from Absalom and Silas. They're despicable and I can't bear to see them hurt innocent people.
