Can you tell us a little about yourself?
Sure, hi, my name is Friday Fitzsimmons, I’m currently a working hero, and I love my job!
What is your role in the story?
The story starts with an interview, just like this, so I guess you could say I’m the subject. I was interviewed for the book in an attempt to write about my experiences at Hero High, and how I came to be a famous hero.
What is your favorite hobby?
Eating? No, I think my favorite hobby is collecting toys, I have a lot of superhero memorabilia, signed pictures and vintage toys. I’m very proud of them, other people think they’re weird, they’re right, but I don’t care.
What is the challenge you are trying to overcome in the story?
Oh, so much, but ultimately, I think it’s overcoming the influence of the cameras, and remembering what it really means to be a hero.
If you had one wish, what would it be?
That’s heavy… If I was being perfectly selfish, I’d ask to live until a day I felt happy to be layed down to rest. There’s so much I want to see, and I can’t be sure, if I get eighty years, that it’ll be enough for me. But if I was thinking about everyone, rather than world peace, or happiness across the globe, I think I’d wish for everyone to be given an opportunity, a full scholarship, a chat with someone influential, or just the job they applied for. I think I’d wish for opportunity to be more abundant, to enable everyone to be in a better place

Torn between Jake, Ashley and her feelings for Doctor Dangerous, Friday must decide if her childhood friend is worth fighting for, and if the world’s most famous super-villain is worth saving, all while learning how to be a hero.
Mina Chara likes superheroes, chinese food and spending time with her dog. She dislikes dark, gritty superhero movies and tales of the dystopian future. Generally optimistic she writes stories that reflect her love of color (especially blue) as well as her sense of humor.
Born in London Mina enjoyed story telling as a child, but was diagnosed as severely dyslexic aged eight. Advised to stick to art and forget writing, Mina decided to do both and her paintings have so far been featured in two exhibitions. She still struggles with her dyslexia and finds writing a challenge, but refuses to be limited. Hero High: Figure in the Flames is the third book she has written, but the first to be published. Mina is currently studying for a bachelor’s degree in creative writing.
