Bright: The most important thing about me is that I don’t matter. What matters is my sacrifices and how I can help others.
Adonya: I don’t like to talk about myself. There are things about me that people just wouldn’t understand. I’m protective of my secrets and my family. My mother is my best friend and I’ll never allow her to be harmed again. I know my way with a bow and arrow. I know how to take down a man with a knife.
Night: I think the best way for two people to get to know each other is in the bedroom. I have a lot to say with my body.
What is your role in the story?
Bright: I’m the main character. My role is usually making sure everything doesn’t fall apart.
Adonya: I don’t know. Bright keeps paying attention to me, but I don’t understand it. Sometimes I wish it would stop. Other times, I don’t know if I could keep breathing if he went away.
Night: No one notices me, so my role is to do whatever it takes to get my message across—even if it means hurting someone.
What is your favorite hobby?
Bright: Gods aren’t allowed to have hobbies.
Adonya: I love spending time in the woods, especially when I’m hunting. It helps me clear my head.
Night: Seducing women. *winks*
What is the challenge you’re trying to overcome during the story?
Bright: My biggest challenge in the story is probably my struggle between happiness and responsibility.
Adonya: I don’t know who to trust. I have secrets and everyone else has secrets. All of the secrets wind up hurting me.
Night: My brother, Bright. He’s always in my way.
If you could make one wish, what would it be?
Bright: That I wasn’t a god.
Adonya: That I wasn’t cursed.
Night: That I wasn’t born.
Title: Bright’s Passion
Author: E.B. Black
Genre: Fantasy Romance
Bright wishes he wasn’t the god of the suns.
Every day is the same: he makes the suns rise and then they set. He looks down at humanity’s corruption. He watches wars, people starving, and thieves stealing.
He can’t help. Every time he tries, the humans take something from him. They’ve destroyed his family and he has no doubt that they’d like to destroy him, too.
Adonya is a raven-haired witch with powers that make her as close to a goddess as a human can be. He’s wondered what it was like to be with a woman, but all the goddesses are dead.
He can feel it when he touches her–she’s as dangerous as all the rest of the humans. Can the power of love join their races together? Or will one of them wind up dead in the end?
