Learning from our ancestors
Our ancestors were known to be sensitive to their environment and to the effects of energy, as are many indigenous people living today. For example, our ancestors were so sensitive to energy, they were able to define exactly where the earth’s ley lines (energy lines) are located. Ley lines, like the meridians in the human subtle energy system, transport energy; however, ley lines transmit or receive energies from around the globe. Many of the great cathedrals in the UK and Europe were built on ley lines, especially where they crossed and the energy is stronger. In addition, many sacred sites are built on the earth’s energy vortexes or chakras.
There are many reasons why our natural ability to sense and feel the energy and fully engage with our intuition and environment is not as strong as it used to be. One of those reasons is our adaptation to a mechanised world. In the 17th and 18th centuries, with the emergence of the sciences of medicine, chemistry, mathematics and physics, anything that could not be scientifically studied or measured was relegated to superstition. Hence our inherent natural abilities of consciousness, acute felt sense, intuition, awareness or understanding of energy, which were difficult to study or measure, were not considered worthwhile or valuable. When they are not valued or appreciated, natural abilities tend to diminish over time. Often natural abilities are shut down or blocked because of other people’s reactions. Appreciation of energy, consciousness and intuition are not subjects you would find on most school curriculums. They are also not seen on the agenda in workplaces. However, there is a growing longing by individuals to reconnect to that natural ability. It is an ability that can be very valuable in today’s world and a great addition to your business acumen.
