I'm hosting a character interview today with Alana Carmen, one of the characters from scifi "The Calypsis Project II: Rebirth".

Can you tell us a little about yourself?

My name is Alana Carmen, and I have been proudly serving in the United Nations Planetary Defense since my eighteenth birthday. I fought alongside my stepfather on Alpha Team for the first five years of the war. After my mom and sister died, I transferred to Calypsis and became a member of Echo Team.

What is your role in the story?

My role is both a gift, and a curse: I'm the voice of reason. Always have been. When things get crazy and people are going off the rails, it's my job to get them back in line so we can devise a sound plan.

What is your favorite hobby?

Singing, songwriting. Music is my outlet, and my instrument of choice was an acoustic guitar. I used to play it on the train to and from school, and in the park on a weekend. I do still get to play on occasion, but . . . it’s a lot harder to find time these days.

What is the challenge you are trying to overcome in the story?

Ending this war. This is probably the biggest challenge I’ve ever faced—the biggest challenge any of us have ever faced. But the conflict has gone on long enough, and now that we know we were fighting in the name of a false cause, there’s even more reason to put an end to it.

If you had one wish, what would it be?

I would wish that our first encounter with the Drocain had been peaceful. Then my mom, my sister, and all the friends I've lost . . . they would still be here, and half the colony wouldn't be lying in ruins. At least we're finally on our way to peace with the Leh'kin, but we still have a long way to go.

But with the return of old friends, tensions are running higher than ever.

Now Available:
No Quarter: Dominium – The Complete Series and No Quarter: Wenches – Volume 1

Review: I love pirates, and this story was amazing. From damsels in distress to slave traders, you have it all, and that set against a historical background. It reminded me of Pirates of the Carribean, and the TV series BLack Sails, both of which I really like. The story never slows down, and the characters stumble from one situation into another. The author's historical research was really impressive too.

I'm interviewing Atia O'Malley today, one of the characters from "No Quarter: Dominium - Volume 1". Thanks for dropping by.

Can you tell us a little about yourself?

I’m Atia O’Malley, daughter of pirate Cormac O’Malley and distant relation to the pirate queen Grace O’Malley. The last name Crisp was something I was stuck with when me ma was blackmailed into marrying the slaver Hansel Crisp. Me older sister is Livia and I have three brothers. I’m a fugitive with a price on me head, have a fear of confined spaces and I follow my heart, not my head.

What is your role in the story?

I’m a strong-willed young woman who survives many obstacles and becomes the love interest of a wanted French pirate.

What is your favorite hobby?

Let me think, searching for well-aged Irish whiskey? Truly though, being indentured don’t leave much leisure time. Me ma schooled me on how to use daggers and stilettos, it’s my favorite practical skill.

What is the challenge you are trying to overcome in the story?

My greatest challenge is escaping from Hansel Crisp and making it home to my da and brothers in Hope Bay.

If you had one wish, what would it be?

I wish me ma was still alive, but alas she perished in the shipwreck.

Today I'm interviewing Mistress Angelique, one of the characters from "Lucky Ones". My questions are in bold.

Can you tell us a little about yourself?

I’m Mistress Angelique. I’m Master Dante’s wife. We are part of the most prestige BDSM community in the country.

What is your role in the story?

I’m trying to pull this community together after the shit-storm Master Griffin has brought with him.

What is your favorite hobby?

Playing with my favorite submissive Raven. There is nothing sweeter than bringing him to his limits and watching him writhe in pleasure.

What is the challenge you are trying to overcome in the story?

I’m learning to put my submissives first and figure out my relationship with my husband.

If you had one wish, what would it be?

To truly know the depths of Dante’s heart.

About the Book

Title: The Lucky Ones
Author: Justus Roux
Genre: Erotic Romance
Karma, baby. We all have to face this bitch at one time or another.  Angelique was so wrapped up in trying to get the biggest piece of Dante’s heart that she forgot that her submissives need her love and guidance. Dante has evolved as a Master, but not as a husband. When Angelique walks away from him, he realizes he may just lose the woman who is his other half.

Master Griffin has lashed out at everyone that tries to hurt him or his. He has schemed and plotted to run this community. Yet, when he tries to take on Master Drake he comes up against an opponent he can’t beat.
Master Mato had nothing but respect for Master Griffin until he is given a submissive named Tao from Master Drake. Drake’s only concern is for Tao’s happiness and he believes she will find it with Mato, yet he doesn’t force his will on her, he leaves it for her to decide. Mato is forced to see Griffin in a different light because of Drake’s actions.

Who will be the lucky ones and walk away unscathed from Karma’s wrath?
